Brandon Kamrava MD

Born and raised in California, Dr. Kamrava graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in Bioengineering, receiving multiple scholarships and honors. He went on to complete his medical education at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. During medical school, Dr. Kamrava combined his passion for engineering with medicine and was appointed adjunct faculty at the School of Engineering. He was also awarded the Dr. Harold Lamport Prize for Biomedical Research for his groundbreaking work on 3D printing middle ear bones. In addition, he presented his research at multiple national conferences, earning recognition for his presentations.

While in medical school, Dr. Kamrava continued to nurture his passion for teaching, instructing an undergraduate engineering course. Upon graduation, he received the Bernard J. and Max L. Ronis Prize in Otolaryngology for his dedication to the field.

Dr. Kamrava completed his residency in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Miami, where he developed a broad interest in the field but ultimately found his passion in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He discovered that, much like bioengineering, facial plastic surgery requires creativity in reconstructing and refining patients into their best, most functional selves. His otolaryngology training also empowers Dr. Kamrava to ensure that he will not compromise a patient’s natural physiology for the sake of aesthetics. During his residency, he continued his commitment to education, serving as the Academic Education Chief and earning the Resident Teacher of the Year award upon graduation.

Dr. Kamrava completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Steve Pearlman, Dr. Neil Gordon, and Dr. Moustafa Mourad. Dr. Pearlman, a former president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), is a pioneer in facial plastic surgery with over 30 years of experience and more than 7,500 rhinoplasty procedures. Dr. Gordon, a world-renowned expert in deep plane facelifts, has over 25 years of experience and is a keynote speaker at international conferences on his deep plane technique. Dr. Mourad brings expertise in both aesthetic and complex reconstructive surgery of the head and neck, including microvascular surgery. Under their guidance, Dr. Kamrava has gained extensive experience in all aspects of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
